With traditional Septic Tank sewage disposal comes the reliance on a large area gravel filter bed, to allow for the removal of pollutants and purification before the waste water reaches the groundwater and the surrounding environment.
In some situations it may be impossible to provide for an adequate gravel filter bed. This can be caused of the ground water level may be too high, not enough space or the surrounding soil conditions, etc. The gravel filter bed can also easily become clogged with effluent material requiring gravel removal with associated extra costs. Raf ehf. have developed equipment for waste water treatment to purify the waste water from sewage systems. The purified water can go directly out to the surrounding environment and without using any large gravel filter beds.
The Sewage Treatment System comes in two parts:
- Ozone generating equipment situated in small service shed or closed space adjacent to the treatment tank. The ozone is then lead to the treatment tank and there it is dissolved into the waste water for purification.
- Waste Water Treatment Tank is specially designed for waste water purification. Taking the waste water directly from the septic tank for complete purification and removing the need for large gravel filter beds.
The Ozone generator produces the Ozone from Oxygen. Ozone monitors assure that hazardous levels of Ozone levels cannot formed in case of leak or malfunction. The Ozone is lead into the Treatment tank, where Ozone ozone blending equipment dissolves the ozone into the water and kills bacteria and other unwanted germs and viruses. Any excess Ozone falls back to original form leaving only behind natural oxygen with no harmful residues.
Where the Ozone waste water treatment tanks have been used the resulting outfall waters are cleaner than the streams, rivers or other ground water of the surrounding area that receive the outfall water making the Ozone waste water treatment tank the perfect environmental solution.
